Mongolia, France Agreed to Boost School Lunch Programme
Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren, Minister of Education and Science, met with Jean-Sébastien Conti, Deputy Director-General for Global Affairs at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, on September 10.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on improving the quality and accessibility of school meal production and services at general education schools.
Within the framework of the goal of building "healthy, green, accessible, safe, and smart schools," it was noted that France's good practices could be introduced to raise the nutritional value of students' lunches, roll out healthy menus, and incorporate education on proper, healthy nutrition into the school curriculum.
The French side expressed its readiness to support improving the accessibility and quality of Mongolia's school lunch programme, the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
